My Therapeutic Approach – What’s in my head!

To envision a future, we step back into the shaded recesses of the present. There, what is past wrestles endlessly, passionately, with what is possible.  –      Catherine Keller

Life can be very difficult. Therefore, I do not believe therapy should make it more difficult. Yet, therapy can be challenging. For this reason, I work hard to make therapy helpful to you immediately!

We work together to make your past and present work for you now.

Therapy is one of those “shaded recesses of the present” that we can “step back into” in order to “wrestle” with the past and figure-out what we want for our future. Therapy can be a unique place of healing, new understanding, and growth.

We work together to help you build a present that might be better than you could have expected and a future with more potential than you might have thought possible.

I enjoy the people that work with me. I listen carefully to what is said and just as closely to what is not said. I enjoy working with people who want to create new hope and possibilities for themselves and for those they are close too.

It is your future that you invite me to help you create. It is your story and your hope that we work with together.

In reality, therapy is often hopeful and inspiring. Sometimes, it can be fun as well. Whatever we are working on together, I try to make therapy a place of shelter, healing, and growth that changes your life in ways you prefer.

Good therapy can bring healing to the whole-person.

Finally, I work with my clients as whole people. Our minds, bodies, and relationships make us who we are. Our physical health affects our thinking, feeling, and relationships. Likewise, our relationships impact our feeling, thinking, and physical health. I work with my clients to help them heal and grow in every level of their lives.
